Wow, the third book. It is the conclusion to the series, although I really don't want to say that because I so dearly want the series to go on. Honestly, I enjoyed this series as much as I enjoyed the Twilight series. The characters are totally relateable, no matter what world they are in or what challenges they face. We are all so lucky that the author was able to recover from her serious health issues and was able to write this conclusion. I love, love, love how the author was able to include her faith in the book. The imagery she used to describe everything made it easy to picture the characters and their locations in your head. I totally agree with the reader who said it felt like watching a movie in their head. I think this series would make a wonder movie series. The development and maturing of the characters throughout the story really brought them to life. I just want to beg and plead with the author not to say goodbye to these characters, but to continue the series. We need more of Octavion and Kira. Just think of all of the trouble the little red headed boy named Blaze could get into, lol!! We need to see if the relationship between Lydia/Al and Blayde goes anywhere and really want to see both of them find love. And we need to see Kira keep her promise and look after Thea, who is such a strong character even though we only got to see her in a small part of the story. It feels like everyone in this world is frozen until the author starts another story and suddenly brings them all back to life. Please, Please, Please CK?

Beloved The Crystor Series Book 3 eBook C K Bryant Reviews

I started with the second book which was a free special from "Book Bub". I didn't get very far before I realized I should read the first one first, so I went to to buy the first one, "Bound". It was free too!!! Here we geaux this was a little close to a romance novel for my liking, but since there was no Fabio on the cover I continued. It turned out to be a love story within a magical fantasy and classic good versus evil. The romance part was good, although it did tend to be repetitive in its evolution ( I don't want to give anything away plot wise, so I'm being vague). Overall the story was a very good one, the main characters were all interesting as well as endearing. I would recommend this series for people such as myself who always have a book going. I truly appreciate that Ms. Bryant is apparently a spiritual person who gives credit to The Father, The Son and her husband without attempting to convert anyone. I will read this author again!!
I have been with C.K. Bryant from beginning to end. I was heartbroken when reading her blog and her medical issues. I waited patiently for this book and I am sad to see it end. I feel like she left some things open for us to create our own endings in certain ways.

I really fell in love with the new characters added in this book in particular. I loved how Nigel's character developed. At first, I thought I'd hate him but I grew to love him throughout the book.

Overall, I loved the trilogy. I feel like Lydia and Al still have a lot of stories to tell but I am satisfied with the ending. (That does not mean I wouldn't be happy if she decided to write another though! haha)

There is one thing I can't get out of my head though. I can't remember which book it was mentioned in but it said Kira lived in Montana with her grandfather. Then, we found out Octavian was also in Montana and working there but stopped because he almost killed a man. I kept wondering if maybe Octavian and her had met there but it was not expanded on later. I thought maybe the man he'd almost killed was her grandfather. I don't know. It's the only thing I felt that left me confused.
I don't typically take time to write reviews but I guess I should. This book series warranted stopping my work day to write this. I wasn't sure I'd like this book because it appeared to be very YA fantasy (not my typical fare). I typically read action romance, vampire, or dystopia. I've never been much on YA novels (though I read them here and there) because I feel most are held back in content by the age group they are hitting. But I LOVED this series. It had some similarities to vampire novels, but much better and more well written than most of those. I won't say how because it would be a spoiler. They are fine for any age, even mid teens. The love story is great even for mature adults (though if you looking for hot sexual scenes you won't find it here). The love story was good enough to keep my interest as an adult without the details. The friendship story is fabulous and as well written as the love story. The action was great and well described. I had no trouble following who was doing what during the action scenes. Many action books struggle with this, keeping track of who is doing what in an action scene. The way she introduced the characters slowly in their more human forms first, then worked each new character in made it easy to follow a large number of characters with many different "gifts". Each was full length novel, and I couldn't put it down. It was quite the fairy tale for adults/teens! She even gives you two full length books (free for me not sure they'll stay that way) to decide if you like it. I had no problem pushing buy on the 3rd, not a hesitation. I know she had to end the book, but I liked it so much she could have been more detailed at the end and I wouldn't have minded. But I'm sure to keep the length down and for those that are board by too much detail it had to end. I would have loved to hear what happened in the "months" that were skipped at the end and what the prince did during those months too. But alas things must end. I'm going to check her other books now!
