I use multiple guidebooks on most trips and, without fail, Rick comes through for sightseeing priorities and travelogues for important sights (don't skip his audio guides for your iPhone... terrific, and entertaining!!) I haven't traveled without a Rick Steves guide in over 15 years and never will... just wish he covered all of the areas we travel. First try at downloading a guide on my Kindle and it was very efficient, easy and convenient.Product details

This book/guide is quintessential for the Istanbul traveler.
Four if us took the tour described in the book, but I was the only one who had read the book beforehand. What a diffrence it made to everyone there.
I was able to enjoy the tour and guide others throughout the ride and stops.
Rick's book was a survival guide of sorts for all of us. What a great time we had and are very thankful for the knowledge contained in the book.
This is a definite must have, as are most of his travel guides.
One of the best things about Rick Steves' mini-tours is you can have it on your phone or mini iPad which means you don't have to lug around a separate travel guide all day. I used several of Steves' mini-walking guides and tours on my recent holidays to Rome and Istanbul. They are especially handy as they can be downloaded beforehand and do not require wifi, like some travel apps. And they don't cost an arm and a leg. Only drawback is the graphics/maps aren't very detailed and can't be manipulated, nor enlarged, etc.
